The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) ng Bataan presided by Vice Gov. Cris Garcia accredited on Tuesday during a special session, 29 civil society organizations (CSO) in the province.
Accredited are Bataan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, United Architects of the Philippines-Balanga Bataan Chapter, Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers Inc., Abucay Multipurpose Cooperative, Bataan Poultry Growers Association Inc., Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement Inc., Bataan Tourism Stakehokders Association Inc, Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers-Bataan Chapter, Roosevelt Water Service and Sanitation Cooperative, Alyansa ng Katutubong Kababaihan ng Bataan, Area Based Standards Network, Rotary Club of Balanga, and Bataan Poultry Raisers Agriculture Cooperative.
Also accredited are Bataan Consumer Affair Council, Bataan Cooperative Development Council, Provincial Agricultural and Fisheries Office, United Architect of the Philippines Bataan Peninsulares Chapter, Capitol Employees of Bataan Multipurpose Cooperative, Pambansang Koalisyon ng Kababaihan sa Kanayunan Provincial Coalition, New Ibayo Multipurpose Cooperative, Bataan ICT Development Council Inc, Samahan ng mga Taong May Kapansanan sa Bataan, BataanMango Grower Agriculture Cooperative, Bataan Medical Society, Junior Chamber International Bataan JCI, Balangay Bayani, Bataan OFW Family Circle Federation, and Watch Workers Life MPC.
The Provincial Planning and Development Office submitted the documents of CSOs to SP for the accredition. CSOs that did not submit documents or lacking were not given accreditation. The DILG has issued memo circular No. 2022-083 outlining the guidelines on the accreditation of CSOs and selection of representatives to the local special bodies.
